Our Team

Craig Brown is a founding director of Alto Capital and Director of our Corporate Department, having commenced his career with the Australia Stock Exchange in 1986 and progressed to the position of Head Floor Trader for one of Australia’s largest Trading Houses. Craig has built a successful career as one of Perth’s best known stockbrokers and has been instrumental in advising a number of Australian based Public Companies on their listing onto the ASX. Previously Craig was an equity holder at one of Perth’s most prominent stockbroking firms.

Adam Belton, a founding director of Alto Capital and brings with him extensive financial markets experience. Adam was previosly a Designated Trading Representative and Investment Manager with ABN AMRO Morgans. Adam also holds an Affiliate status with the Securities Institute of Australia.

Shane Wee is a founding director of Alto Capital with over 15 years experience in the financial services industry. Prior to Alto, he served as a Senior Investment Manager and was an equity holder in on of Perth's most prominent stockbroking firms. Shane has built a reputation as one of Perth's leading equities advisors building close relationships with a number of leaders of Perth's business community. He is focused on building long term relationships with strategic partners which continuously value adds for our local network of clients and contacts throughout South East Asia.

Mathew Walker, a founding director, has extensive experience in the provision of corporate advice, and in public company management. Specialising in the mining sector, he has served as Executive Chairman or Managing Director for public companies with mining interests in North America, South America, Africa, Australia, and Central Asia.  Currently he serves as a Managing Director of Windy Knob Resources Limited and Augustus Minerals Limited, and as a Chairman of Fortuna Minerals Limited and Imperium Minerals Limited.  Mathew is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  He holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney.

David Parker completed a Bachelor of Commerce in 1998 before moving into the finance industry. He worked in London for two years before returning to Perth to join ABN AMRO Morgans as the Designated Trading Representative and Investment Manager. David is a Licensed SEATS Operator and is currently completing his Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment. David has joined Alto Capital as an Authorised Representative focussing on wholesale clients and corporate consulting.

Peter Hayes has been in the securities industry for over 15 years, specializing in small resource stocks. He has extensive knowledge of the equities industry, having worked in operating and capital raising positions. Peter has taken a keen interest in pre IPO structuring, and is competent in assessing all needs of potential clients with a particular emphasis on capital growth and corporate funding.

Alan Lawson completed his Bachelor of Business in 1995, double-majoring in Economics and Finance. He has 8 years of experience within the financial services industry, commencing as an investment manager with ABN AMRO Morgans, then as a financial consultant with Citigroup (formerly Smith Barney). Having serviced both retail and institutional clients, Alan offers the kind of knowledge, experience and professionalism keenly sought by investors. He is a Level II, ASX Accredited Derivatives Adviser, and is currently undertaking further education to elevate his strengths in financial analysis and portfolio management. He passed Level 1 of the CFA Program in 2005. His particular areas of interest include portfolio management, advanced option strategies, research and technical analysis.

Stockley Davis is our Corporate Manager. He is responsible for identifying undervalued investment opportunities in the natural resources sector. Stockley provides specialised advice on issues pertaining to the resources sector to executives, management and private investors alike. Stockley has been instrumental in the raising of equity capital for resources companies. Stockley is responsible for approx A$100m in clients investments, and participated in A$20m worth of equity raisings over the last 2 years. He graduated from the University of Western Australia (UWA) in 1991 with a Bachelor in Economics degree, and has worked in the financial services industry for 12 years, with over 10 years experience in the resources sector.

Brendan Fogarty has been in the securities industry for over 7 years and has joined Alto Capital as an Investment Manager. He has developed a strong working knowledge of the equity markets and built an extensive client base in that time. Over the years, Brendan has also gained increasing experience in corporate capital raisings. He regularly contributes to the Sunday Herald Sun newspaper in market related articles.

Carey Smith, our resident Research Analyst, has worked in the financial services industry for four years, concentrating on small to mid sized resource companies. He uses his previous experience as a geologist to research and recommend resource related companies, and has advised a number of Australian based companies on listing on the ASX. Prior to entering the financial services industry he was employed by as a geologist for 10 years by Australian and international Resource houses including: Teck Cominco, Reynolds Metals of America, and Mt Edon Gold Mines in various senior positions specialising in the development and commissioning of new mines.

Nathan Barbarich, recently retired as a director but remains an Authorised Representative and active member of both our Corporate and Client Adviser teams. Following University studies in Commerce, Law & Property, Nathan had a successful career in Commercial Property with Stanton Hillier Parker. Prior to joining Alto Nathan was a Senior Investment Manager with ABN AMRO Morgans. Over his approximately ten year association with the industry Nathan has developed a reputation as a dynamic and successful Investment Manager including holding an advisory role in many recognisable transactions.

Maciej Rosiewicz graduated from university with a double degree in Bachelor of Finance and Economics. Maciej entered the financial services industry as a para-planner in a financial planning practice where he gained valuable experience through writing financial plans dealing with all aspects of investment from wealth creation to superannuation. His interest for the capital markets led him to Alto Capital where he furthered his education and became an Investment Manager.

Paul Poli, an Authorised Representative of Alto is Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UWA.  He is currently the managing director of several companies including an accounting practice in Morley, an import export steel fabrication company in Asia and other companies in Australia.  Recently,  Paul was appointed Managing Director and Chairman of an international resource exploration company (Matsa Resources Pty Ltd) which is expecting to list on the Australian Stock Exchange later in 2008.  Paul has had a diverse experience across several businesses which enhances his capacity to act as a consultant to his clients.

Brett Schreuders, has more than 15 years experience in the financial services industry and is an ASX accredited derivatives adviser (Level 1).  He holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Finance, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science.  Brett is a Certified Financial Planner who successfully ran his own financial planning practice for 12 years.  He has excellent skills and knowledge in analysing clients' needs and recommending appropriate investment strategies.  Prior to joining Alto Capital as an Investment Manager,  Brett was an equities adviser with Tolhurst and joins Alto with a focus on Blue Chip portfolio management. Brett also researches small cap stocks with strong growth prospects and this has led him developing strong relationships with a number of Perth based small cap companies, particularly in the resource sector.

Russell Lynton-Brown, has 13 years experience in stockbroking, both retail and corporate finance specialising in the resource sector.  Russell has worked with international and local stockbroking companies.  Russell is currently a director of Pacific Ore Ltd, Windy Knob Resources Ltd and Imperium Minerals Ltd.  Russell has joined Alto Capital as an Authorised Representative focussing on wholesale clients and corporate consulting.

Cameron Bolton has joined Alto Capital after four years with Montagu Stockbrokers as a private client adviser.  He specialises in junior and mid tier companies particularly with a WA focus.  Cameron has significant experience in capital raisings having participated in many IPO's and placements in the past four years.  Cameron will also take an active involvement in portfolio management.
